The X3U Pro is an endpoint for a compatible calling service. Our assessment is that it belongs on a straightforward office-handset shortlist, but the provider’s supported-device list should decide whether it belongs in a specific office.
Check the complete desk connection
PoE can carry power and data over one network cable when the switch or injector supports the phone. Confirm the available switch power budget and whether the seller includes a mains adapter if PoE will not be used. Check the headset connection against the actual headset model.
What remains untested
We have not measured handset audio, speakerphone performance or provisioning reliability. Before ordering in quantity, test call transfer, voicemail, line keys and any emergency-calling configuration with the provider. Do not interpret codec names or SIP-account counts as a guarantee of those outcomes.
